After waiting for almost 5 days in pain to get a tooth pulled it was explained to me that even though my insurance covers the ENTIRE extraction and the x-rays needed before the extraction I still needed to pay for a consultation that my insurance will not cover. I can accept that is the offices policy but their "policy" is in direct violation of the agreement that they have with my insurance provider and all they had to do was make me aware of this policy before I arrived and I would not have even WASTED MY TIME!

The entire staff is so friendly and caring. They put us right at ease and did small touches (like aromatherapy) to make the wisdom teeth removal as pleasant as possible. They were all so caring and very professional.

My daughter had a mucocele on her lower lip. Dr. Patel and her staff were absolutely brilliant in handling not only my daughter’s surgery but her anxiety as well. They constantly reassured her, encouraged her, and helped her. They even made sure she had a smoothie before going home! The whole experience could have been extremely frightening for my daughter, especially since she has extreme fears about needles and medical procedures, but Dr. Patel’s office was so kind that she was excited to come back for her follow up. 100% would recommend Dr. Patel to anyone, especially someone who is very anxious about procedures.

Was very nervous about getting my wisdom tooth extraction but I was in good hands. The pain only lasted a day and I recovered quickly. Dr. Yaghmai, Fab and Joey were all great! I was shivering after surgery but Valentina gave me a blanket. How sweet! When I came for my follow up, apparently I came hours early being the great patient I am, but Shy made sure I was seen right when I came in.

I was so nervous going in to have my wisdom tooth extracted. I asked if I could listen to music, she said sure. By the time the first song went off my tooth was out. PAIN FREE!!!! Dr. Patel and her staff are WONDERFUL.

My appointment was at 11:30 am with Dr. Patel. Although I arrived at 11:05am because they had suggested to arrive 15 minutes prior to the appointment anyhow I came in earlier. After finishing the paper work I was taken in to the room at 11:30 sharp but was still waiting on for Dr. Patel and she came into the room at 11:50. And only consulted for less than 5 minutes. I came in for just one tooth extraction but she mentioned saying that I need to take out 2 more teeth as well. My question is without even taking a good look inside my mouth how can anybody give a proper conclusion. She did take a look at my X-rays, even still how can anyone suggest something like that without even looking inside properly. My time and 100$ for the consultation fee was all gone to a waste.

Patient Review
Just got all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed. I have some general dental anxiety, an overactive vagus nerve that likes to make me faint around needles AND I'd never gone under general anesthesia before, so I had a triple whammy of things to worry about. Additionally, I had thought general sedation was going to knock me out entirely, but the receptionist said I would be in a twilight state and still able to hear what was going on, just unable to remember it afterward. So that was concerning. Dr. Patel and the rest of the staff were friendly and accommodating; going so far as to allow my husband to come into the room with me until they put the IV in. I was anxious enough that the laughing gas, while it made my body feel tingly and numbish, didn't do much to stop my brain from racing. Dr. Patel asked me to describe a dream I have and, while talking about feasability of home ownership couldn't stop the insertion of an IV from feeling genuinely awful by all conceivable metrics, it was enough to distract me long enough to get knocked out. I'm not sure if mine was a particularly uncomplicated case, but a surgery that should have taken an hour took all of 15 minutes (yes, they did take the teeth out, I checked). And I don't know if I was in a twilight state able to hear things or not, because I can't remember it, so that's a win there too! They sent me home with the requisite heavy-hitting painkillers, the tamer ibuprofen, antibiotics, and thorough care instructions. Despite the horror stories and detailed contingency plans for possible awful-sounding complications, my recovery has been smoother than I could have imagined. Gauze-filled mouth for the first day, some bloody ooze day two and three, and now the back of my mouth just feels a bit gunky (which is ameliorated by a quick salt-water mouthwash). I haven't even touched the serious painkillers, just ibuprofen and an ice pack on either side was plenty! On a less important note, but still worth mentioning, the office is very nice; calming grey and purple color scheme, keurig machine and water cooler, a back massager on one of the chairs. 10/10 for the whole experience; it was as easy and painless as getting teeth pulled out of your head can possibly be, I bet.

Dr. Patel provided me a comforting and effective experience with an impacted tooth issue. Her vast knowledge has put me on an accelerated program of which I am forecasted to make progress at 3x my past rate. Her leadership is evident throughout her office as her staff shares her core values and makes every patient feel like home and like family. Highly recommend!

First, the good: place was clean, people were efficient when necessary. The remainder: I would avoid this dentist at all costs. Firstly, I went on the first visit (initial consultation) and they required a $50 deposit before even granted any consultation. Scam attempt #1 (with success). But the real scam was the estimates that I received roughly a month ago, in which the total came to $743. When the woman first showed me the estimate, she did not reveal that there was a second page, only showing me the first page (which obviously looked as if it was much cheaper). She then rushed me to sign it, and when I got home, I saw there was a 2nd page she didn't show. My husband said that costs outrageously expensive to have 4 wisdom teeth pulled, we starting combing through the estimate and found charges like this: Surgical Tray: $55.00 Evaluation for deep sedation: $95.00 Deep sedation 60 min: $332 When I sat down with Dr. Patel for that "evaluation", which lasted maybe 5-8 minutes, was extremely rushed (although she was "friendly and polite", to be fair), and consisted of things like getting my blood pressure. During the same talk, Dr. Patel said the procedure would take about 20-30 minutes, not the 60 minutes on the estimate. So, my husband decided to call them to verify. He started with the surgical tray charge, and asked if that is "literally a charge for them to put surgical equipment on a tray" and the woman started fumbling for an answer as he stated I wouldn't be paying that. Then he asked about the deep sedation for 60 min, seeing as the procedure is only going to last half that. At this point, it was obvious that the woman knew we were getting scammed, as she fumbled and said, "Well..uh..the extra 30 minutes is just wrapping up and then the lingering effects after, she'll still be sedated." To which he replied: "So, the equivalent of this is if I walk into a bar and order a few drinks and get buzzed, the bar is going to continue to charge me for that buzz even after I'm done drinking?" The woman then said she would have the manager call on Monday and hung up (obviously, the manager didn't call back or care to follow up even though they already have all my contact info including my email address which they could have "fix" the situation as efficiently as they did prior to the consultation). That isn't even all of it--they also tried to claim that my insurance had a co-pay for some things on the estimate (I guess hoping we would see $332 vs. $30 and think 'wow, great deal!' on 4 different charges). The fiance lady said it is what the insurance company listed on the website although I have contacted my insurance company twice to verify the co-pay amount. Definitely go for a 2nd or 3rd opinion--you can request from your insurance. Here's the final result, by the way--I just got my teeth out today (all 4) at another dentist and it was $120. I didn't use deep sedation or Nitrous oxide (laughing gas), I only used local anesthesia (Novocaine) since I didn't have any severely impacted teeth. Compare that with the scam of $743 at Dr. Patel's. It's a shame to know that people continue to try and scam. I have had other bad experiences in the past, which I am somewhat thankful because it make a smarter consumer. Please let me know if you have any questions, I am more than happy to share (e.g. the outrageous estimates that I received).

Dr. Patel is an excellent oral surgeon and her office team is very professional. I had a molar extraction, bone graft, and dental implant performed by Dr. Patel. The staff thoroughly explained every procedure and expectations afterwards. Called later with some questions which were answered quickly. Staff very helpful when it comes to billing and working on your behalf with the insurance. I have already highly recommended Dr. Patel to friends, family and colleagues.
