Juvéderm™ is the one of the latest dermal fillers introduced to the U.S. market by Allergan, the company which manufactures Botox. It is a hyaluronic acid based filler similar to Restylane. However, JUVÉDERM™ injectable gel employs its unique manufacturing process to provide the highest concentration of cross-linked hyaluronic acid of any currently available hyaluronic acid dermal filler for long-lasting results. This advanced manufacturing process also creates a smooth consistency gel that flows consistently and easily into the skin and provides a smooth, natural look and feel.
Recently approved by the FDA, Juvederm injectable gel is a “next-generation” dermal filler. The smooth consistency gel helps to instantly restore your skin’s volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds, like your “smile lines” or “parentheses” (nasolabial folds—the creases that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth).
With Juvederm, the results are immediate with minimal downtime. Most patients need one treatment to achieve optimal wrinkle smoothing, and the results last up to 6 months or more. Juvederm can be used virtually anywhere on the face, with most success in the lips, nasolabial folds (lines from the nose to the corners of the mouth), and the marionette lines (lines from the corners of the mouth downward to the jawline).
Arlington & Waterfront Dental Implant & Oral Surgery Centers are pleased to offer Juvederm as a treatment option for those striving to improve their appearance by adding volume and smoothness to their skin.
What is Juvederm?
Juvederm is an FDA-approved injected filler treatment that is used to reduce wrinkles and acne scars, treat deep folds and dark under eye circles, and enhance lips, cheeks, and chin by adding volume to facial tissue.
How does Juvederm work?
Juvederm utilizes a Hyaluronic acid solution to lift, add volume and smooth skin. Hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in the human body as a nutrient delivery system, and hydrating and cushioning agent. As we age, our body’s natural resources slowly diminish over time, leaving our skin in need of a boost. Juvederm acts as this much needed boost, hydrating and lifting by adding nutrients and volume.
Explain the Juvederm process.
After a consultation with Dr. Patel in which she helps you choose the treatment most suitable for you, your Juvederm treatment will take about 15 minutes. It may take a few days for the fillers to settle in to its final shape, but typically, the results are almost immediate.
How long will Juvederm last?
The longevity of the fillers often depends on the area treated, your skin, and the injection technique. Dr. Patel will be able to give you a more exact estimation of the potential duration of your particular treatment at your consultation.
Do the filler treatments hurt?
Pain and bruising is minimal. We offer topical skin anesthetics to make you comfortable during the injections and cold packs after treatments to reduce any discomfort or bruising.
